Sleeping on the Couch (a Poem)

What is worst than sleeping alone?

What sucks more than not being next to that special one you love?

What hurts more than not hold a loved one who's at home?

What could be worst than sleeping together in a small bed?

Life is filled enough with aches, pains, and ouch...

There is still nothing worst than having to sleep on a couch.

Tired, lonely and cold

Tossing and turning... can't find a comfortable spot

Dogs whining, everytime you turn over gets old

Feeling like I did something wrong though tonight,I'm just guilty of snoring a lot

Waking up in the morning still stuffy and my nose is still runny...

Now I have a pain in my neck that makes me go ouch

I can only ask you... what is worst than sleeping on the couch

The crazy things people will do for those they love

Trouble sleeping on a lumpy couch, just so someone else can be comfortable

At least I don't have to deal with neighbors living above

Toss and turn with the TV and feeling terrible

No comfort, peace or solace

I thought a man's home is his palace

A bump on my head just over my eye

Being head butted by my girlfriend ..the delicate butterfly

Poke in the face by eye glass frames

She trying to torment me awake, is this one of her saddistic games?

She taunts me and laughs... even though I am very tired and not feeling well

I think this is Dante's 7th level of hell

Staying on the couch all night feeling my back pain ...ouch

There is nothing worst than sleeping on a couch

This little peom was meant in tongue and cheek

But the small of my back aches, cracks and creeks

I'm happy that the dogs and her are getting a good nights sleep

Oh how I long for restful sleep, dreaming and passed out deep

But I rollover, stretch, curl-up into a ball, cough, sneeze and slouch 

So here I am trying to sleep on the couch
